as Nile cruise holidays all inclusive With so many amazing global destinations now accessible to those with a passion for adventure travel, it can be difficult to find two enthusiastic cultural tourists who have the same holiday preferences. However, a River Nile cruise must surely feature highly on plenty of people’s bucket lists, regardless of how well travelled they are.
Egypt is a fascinating country that is steeped in history and tradition. Having spent a few days in the bustling city of Cairo, soaking up the sights and sounds of the city, it is not hard to see why the North African nation has long been a favorite among British holidaymakers. With a population of 15 million people, it is understandably a hive of activity and you do not have to look far to see clear examples of the country’s rich cultural heritage; it’s also a great chance to get in a little shopping at the traditional markets.
However, this was just the starting point for my adventure tour and the real highlight was yet to come, as we boarded an overnight train to the southern city of Aswan, which would be the starting point of my upcoming Nile cruise. The city of Aswan itself is a remarkable place and is well worth a visit, as it is unlike any other town in Egypt. We were to spend three nights on the boat, which worried me at first due to my tendency to feel unwell when sailing, but my concerns were unfounded as this was as relaxing an experience as I could have hoped for.
As we floated along the famous river, passing numerous historical points of interest such as the great temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu, I couldn’t help but feel that this was what Egypt holidays are all about. The stop-offs were frequent and extremely enjoyable, with donkey riding through Luxor a particular highlight. No matter where you are in Egypt, you always feel like you are in a special place that has had a major bearing on how modern-day societies are constructed. Nile cruise holidays
A cruise down the river Nile has to be one of my favourite ‘travel highlights,’ there really is no finer way to experience this part of the world. The mix of relaxation and exploration allows you to experience many of the fascinating Egyptian sites without feeling tired. I returned home having had a rich cultural experience but still feeling rested and relaxed.
